Tenka Solar arrives in India

Power is one of the most critical components of infrastructure crucial for the economic growth and welfare of nations. The existence and development of adequate infrastructure is essential for sustained growth of the Indian economy.

India being a tropical country is blessed with good sunshine over most parts, and the number of clear sunny days in a year also being quite high. India is located in the sunny belt of the world. As per Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India (GoI), the country receives solar energy equivalent to more than 5,000 trillion kWh per year with a daily average solar energy incident over India which varies from 4.0 to 7.0kWh/m2 depending upon the location. India’s equivalent solar energy potential is about 6,000 million GW of energy per year. Hot and Dry climatic regions have the best solar radiations in the country with around 300 sunny days; which makes these region very appropriate locations for harnessing solar energy. Electricity demand in the country has increased rapidly and is expected to rise further in the years to come.

In order to meet the increasing demand for electricity in the country, thanks to an agreement with RVS Group, Tenka Solar is participating in a great project in a 35,000 km² area of the Thar Desert which has been set aside for solar power projects, sufficient to generate 700 MW to 2,1 GW.

At first 400 MW will be available from February 2022.

The 250MM investment allowed to start plants for the Indian government and infrastructures and to open the new Tenka India district, a commercial hub for an expansion of 10/15 GW year.

Today we celebrate the newborn Tenka Solar India and it’s team.

Namaste!
